OUR FINAL MESSAGE FROM CHINA
July 16, 2004.
Today we leave Huairou after almost 11 months here. After a final farewell lunch at the local noodle restaurant, we’ll board the school van with 3 suitcases, accompanied by our friend Liu Keyan, to travel to Beijing where we’ll stay overnight at a hotel.
Early in the morning, we’ll get aboard the Trans Siberian Railway for a 20 day trip across Mongolia, Siberia and Russia. Then we’ll fly home to Toronto, having completed our version of going around the world. We’ll take our trusty iBook with us, and spend time recording our experiences as we travel. Once we’re home, we’ll post these to our web site for those interested in this extended portion of our time away from home. In the meantime, we leave you with our itinerary.
